Early Literacy Program

Our goal is to encourage parents to read to their children. We hope to develop this activity, in the future, to include learning sessions for parents. We must impress upon them the importance of reading to their children and provide them with suggestions and strategies for developing reading events within the family. At the present time however, the program is limited to the distribution of books.

As teachers, we value reading and it has been shown that children who are read to at an early age tend to be successful in school. As your child's first teacher, you have the power to instill a love for learning in your child, and thereby, set the groundwork for a successful educational career.
